Du willst aus einem Badetag alles rausholen? Im Freibad Niedersachswerfen geht beides an einem Nachmittag: morgens deine Bahnen im großen Edelstahl-Schwimmerbecken ziehen, dann mit den Kindern über die 47-Meter-Rutsche jagen und zwischendurch auf der weitläufigen Liegewiese in der Sonne abschalten.
Unter dem Kirchberg liegt das modernste Freibad im Landkreis Nordhausen. 2001 wurde es saniert und als „Sommer-Sonne-Wonne-Bad“ neu eröffnet – seitdem schwimmst, springst und planschst du hier in zeitgemäßen Edelstahlbecken. Im Nichtschwimmerbecken sorgen Wasserpilz, Massagedüsen, Bodensprudler und Massageliegen dafür, dass auch Entspannung nicht zu kurz kommt. Und die Kleinsten? Die haben ihr eigenes Planschbecken mit Babyrutsche, ganz ohne tiefes Wasser.
Wird der Hunger zwischendurch groß, ist der Kiosk gleich um die Ecke. Tischtennis, Spielplatz und moderne Duschen gibt es obendrauf.
Anreise leicht gemacht: Das Bad erreichst du bequem mit der HSB, der Tram-Linie 10 oder dem Bus – und mit einem kurzen Fußweg von rund 10 Minuten sogar mit der DB. Wer mit dem Auto kommt, findet Parkplätze direkt vor Ort.
