Harztor Hiking Kids

Your very own stamp hunt in the beautiful Southern Harz

Fancy a proper treasure hunt? The project „Harztor Wanderkinder“ (Harztor Hiking Kids) is something really special, because it was made by children for children! Together with the youth fire brigade, children from Harztor have hidden 31 stamp points for you across all five villages.

The colourful stamp boxes were specially made by the Nordthüringer Lebenshilfe workshops and then creatively painted by the youth fire brigades. You’ll find them in exciting places such as the Nadelöhr in Ilfeld or the Love Island in Neustadt.

Here’s how it works: Grab your stamp booklet (available from the Tourist information in Neustadt) and set off! The routes have been specially designed so that they aren’t too long – perfect for little legs. The stamp always features a flame with the name of the place and a number. And best of all: anyone who fills their booklet with stamps gets a small prize.

So: grab your booklet, put on your walking boots and off you go on a big stamp hunt through Harztor!

And there’s even a little song of its own for the Harztor Hiking Kids! The tune is quite simple – and you’ll find yourself humming the words in no time. And who knows – perhaps you’ll come across people on your hike who are whistling the tune to themselves. Why not invite them to sing along? That’s how we’ll spread the wonderful idea of the Harztor Hiking Kids far and wide.
