Schwimmen mit Blick auf die Burgruine Hohnstein – das gibt es so nur in Neustadt. Seit über 50 Jahren ist das Waldbad am Fuße des Hohnsteins im Sommer der Treffpunkt für Familien, Urlauber und Gäste des Luftkurortes. Wer einmal hier war, kommt wieder.
Für die Kinder ist der Tag schnell verplant: Wasserrutsche, Planschbecken, Sprunganlage mit 1- und 3-Meter-Brett, dazu Spielplatz, Fußball-, Volleyball- und Tischtennisfeld. Die Großen finden ihren Platz auf der großen, ruhig gelegenen Liegewiese mit reichlich Schatten. An heißen Tagen kommen hier bis zu 1.300 Gäste zusammen – und trotzdem findet jeder sein ruhiges Eckchen. Ein kleiner Tipp für alle, die länger bleiben wollen: Der Campingplatz „Am Waldbad“ liegt nur 50 Meter entfernt.
Tipp: Achte auf die Veranstaltungen des Fördervereins – das Neptunfest und das Nachtschwimmen sind jedes Jahr ein Erlebnis.
