The southern Harz is far away from industry and smog. The air is so clear and pure that it is even recommended by doctors for climate therapies. Low-pollen forests make the region ideal for allergy sufferers and people with respiratory diseases.

In the middle of Germany and easy to reach.
Harztor is located in the district of Nordhausen, nestled in the scenic southern Harz in the very north of Thuringia. As the name suggests, the rural community is the gateway to the Harz Mountains. The district town of Nordhausen is just a few kilometers away, while the state capital of Erfurt is around 80 km to the south. It takes about an hour to drive to us from Göttingen in the west and from Halle/Leipzig in the east.
Harztor is easy to reach by train, car and public transport.
